Our story begins in 2012, when former Coast Guard Matthew Fox and developer Bill Phua formed a partnership and laid the groundwork for what eventually became Alameda Island Brewing. Since we first opened our doors in 2015, Alameda Island Brewing has welcomed everyone with the simple goal of making beer accessible to everyone. Our brewery & taproom is located in downtown Alameda at 1716 Park Street, home of the former Cavanaugh Motor Chrysler dealership.
